Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
Yes, the incessant hate speech and anti-Obama propaganda continue to plague the health care “debates.” We fortunately have some comic relief (and common sense) on display, thanks to Rep. Barney Frank, the Democrat from Massachusetts. At Frank’s town hall, a constituent asked him why he was supporting President Obama’s “Nazi policy” of health care. In response, Frank asked, “On what planet do you spend most of your time?” He then referred to her question as “vile, contemptible nonsense.” And just to put the nail in the politeness coffin, he closed by saying, “Trying to have a conversation with you would be like trying to argue with a dining room table; I have no interest in doing it.”
It is clear that Congressmen have a bit more freedom to…insult their constituents…than the President would. That said, Mr. President, America appreciates your civility and maturity when dealing with the psychocrazies. But every once in a while, it might be ok to sacrifice some kindness in the name of truth.
